Oria Door(s) Empty Oria Door(s)

I shot an(other) old door whilst on our recent trip to Oria, and although I liked the shaft of light through the battered wood, I thought I'd try an alternative approach...

Personally I quite like it, and there's loads of detail in the full size version.
I tried various approaches with colour, but in the end preferred this monochrome version.

I'd be interested in your comments.

Oria Door(s) Empty Oria doors

Having looked at your doors image I see it has taken on an abstract feel (to me anyway). The fact it is a door (or two) has been lost in the overall image. I particularly like what looks like a shield or emblem in the centre, my eye is drawn to that.

Oria Door(s) Empty Oria Doors

I like the concept of combining 2 images to produce a unique product. My eye wanders around in a circle from door to door then from highlight to highlight, but I too can see a shield in the centre. I do feel that it could possibly benefit from a little more contrast but that's more a matter of personal taste.

An interesting composition.
