June Club Meeting
Folks,
Club meeting tomorrow afternoon, Tuesday 4th, promises to be very interesting indeed. We have as a guest speaker, Tom O'Donoghue, who's passion is Astro Photography. His images are fantastic, and the equipment and processes he uses is very impressive.
There won't be any normal club business tomorrow, as we are making the presentation open for everyone to attend. Please bring along partners, friends & neighbours.
See you all there for 4pm... I'll see if I can get Agustin to be available to serve drinks downstairs.
Rgds,
Howard

Re June Meeting
Regret that I will not be able to attend, we have visitors and the duties of "Mine Host" have to take precedence

Re: June Club Meeting
Hi.
My first Club meeting today, what an introduction!
Very interesting topic.
Have any club members tried astrophotography, as a novice, obviously not on the scale of Tom O'Donaghue?

Re: June Club Meeting
Folks,
Well that was quite a club meeting! Lots of people turning up for Tom O'Donoghue's fascinating presentation on AstroPhotography. It got a tad techie in places, but Tom's enthusiasm, some genuinely stunning images, and made all the more interesting as they were taken 'just up the road', I hope, inspired everyone.
Next month will be back to basics again... Our May photo assignment on 'Monochrome' will be carried on through June, so please post images on forum, or bring along on memory sticks for the July meeting.
June's field trip will be to Partaloa on Tuesday the 18th. Details of time and meeting place to be decided nearer the time and posted on forum.
I've been researching if there is better/simpler online storage than ImageShack for us to use, and have found very recently that Flickr has updated all its services, and now offers 1 Terrabyte storage space... FREE! This coupled with the fact that when you view your image there is a Share option which gives you a link that you can simply copy & paste into our forum posts directly, seems to be an easier option.
We'll discuss this at the next meeting, but for the meantime, you may want to register for a free account at www.flickr.com
Rgds,
Howard
Btw Kevin, I have tried a bit of pointing my camera skywards at night... And the results were pitiful!
