Flowers... (Amazon Cloud Drive)
Folks,
Thought I'd post this shot taken last week of these flowers from our garden...
(ISO 100 : Shutter Speed 1/400th : Aperture f4 : Focal Length 55mm)
Quite often I'll think about a shot and spend some time either setting it up, or fiddling with the camera. This one, I just saw as I was walking into the house one morning, with soft, hazy sunlight. Just grabbed the camera and lined them up!
Another thing about this post... I thought I'd try Amazon Cloud Drive, to see how it would work with uploading images to our forum. Very easy to set up (if you already have an Amazon login), and uploaded the image. When you see the image in the folder, just right-click it's filename and select 'Copy link address'. You can then paste this directly into your forum post (adding IMG ... /IMG tags front and rear, or paste the address into 'Image' box icon, which will automatically add the tags). Either way, seems to work well.
Another one I use is Adrive.com... which offers 50Gb free storage!!! (yep, 50Gb)
This one, you just double-click the filename of the photo once uploaded, which displays your image, then right-click and select 'Copy image URL'.
There are now many online 'Drives' or cloud storage accounts which will work for uploading images. You just have to work out, once uploaded, how to retrieve the file's link address to paste into your post. Anyone having difficulties with posting images, either PM me, or we can have a training session after a club meeting.
Rgds,
Howard

Re: Flowers... (Amazon Cloud Drive)
Well,
It was showing from Amazon, then it disappeared... strange, will have to check if their links can be shared.
For the meantime, I've posted it from Adrive.com... Ooh, that's not showing on my iPad...
Back to ImageShack.
Hmmm... Requires further investigation!

Folks,
Actually, forget about the photo servers mentioned above. Flickr have just had a major update to their site and services. You can now get a free account with... 1 Terrabyte of free storage space for photos & videos!
In addition, when you view one of your images fullscreen, there's a share option, which gives you the link address for your image. You can choose code for different sizes of your image (I use Medium 800 pixels). You simply copy this code text and paste it directly into your forum post... Simples!
See below...

I think I'll be using this in future instead of ImageShack. We'll discuss this at the next meeting, and probably change the Upload Images stickie information.
