February Field Trip - Lorca Castle CANCELLED

Folks,

Just a reminder that our February field trip is to Lorca Castle (and possibly town afterwards) this coming Tuesday 19th, meeting there at 11am. Looking at Google, there is a sizeable car park up there, just a short walk from the castle itself. Never having been there before, the only route there I can see is taking the Aguilas turnoff to Lorca from the E15, then turning left into Lorca at the first main roundabout (with the electricity sub-station on your left), and driving pretty much the length of the main street (going across the large roundabout with the pillar statue of man on horse), but turning left just before crossing the large rambla bridge at the far end. There is then a seriesof roads which lead up to the castle... Hopefully signposted. The carpark is pretty much at the top.

If anyone else knows a better route, then please reply to this post before Tuesday.

For those of you who wish to travel up 'en convoy', we will be leaving the Overa Hotel, at the E15 roundabout, at about 10:15.

Eeek! Hadn't seen that!

Will wait until Monday and see what the forecast is saying then... Will make a call to postpone or not depending on what it looks like. It would be no fun trailing around in the rain.

Sorry folks, will just have to play it by ear. Not ideal, but hey ho!
