Huercal Overa - February 2013

Folks,

An enjoyable wander around Huercal Overa this morning.

I'd been watching a video about Henri Cartier-Bresson, and how he would find a scene, and wait for someone to walk into it. So I thought, if it's good enough for him, it's good enough for me!



I'll post more shots from our field trip later, and maybe show the short video of the great man's work at the next club meeting.

Although I'm not keen on the HDR technique (High Dynamic Range), I've used a similar effect on Image 2 above by using 'ToneMapping' in Paintshop Pro (should really be posted in the 'Creative' section). Interesting building though... might return to get a better shot of it.

Good B&W. We have discussed how to desaturate colour into monochrome but are the techniques for "seeing" a B&W subject different to those for colour? Could we discuss this at the club?

You were lucky to be in the right place for the graffiti artist.

After a bit of thought, I re-cropped the image of the graffiti artist to get rid of some more clutter...
