Nice set of photos, and good use of viewpoint from differing angles as discussed to get more dynamic shots. My favourite has to be the first one of the statue, which has a good simple form and diagonal composition. The last photo IMHO would benefit from straightening the vertical axis on the telegraph poles, although the house in the background looks quite straight... May need a couple of attempts to see which looks more natural.

Composition is the key to good photos.
Different shot angles can enhance & make an ordinary subject more intriguing. For example your photo of the statue (Nice pic), I can imagine what it would have looked like if you had stood square on & just snapped a full view of statue.
