*** Christmas Meal ***

Folks,

As discussed at our last meeting, we would like to organise an evening meal (if possible) sometime prior to Christmas, for club members and their partners. This was agreed in principal, pending finding a reasonable restaurant that could take us, on a date suitable to us all.

I am in the process of 'looking into' a couple of venues, but it would be beneficial for me to be able to tell them fairly accurately the numbers involved. With Christmas not too far off (sorry!) available slots will be getting tight.

It's a bit sketchy at the moment, depending on dates available, but we will be trying for somewhere within the 2-3 week run up to Christmas.

Could I please ask, as soon as possible if you could contact me telling me if you and your partner want to attend, and if there is a specific date that you CAN NOT attend due to other comittments. With that information, I can try to arrange the best fix for our do.

So if you can get that info to me soonest, it would be greatly appreciated.

First port of call we are going to try is La Vida, but as they are quite busy during the festive period we'll have to approach them with numbers asap. I will let you all know by the weekend how that goes. Failing that we'll look at other venues over the coming week (Meson Irene, Bar Trinidad, El Castillo and any other suggestions?).

I'll also email this round club members to ensure everyone knows what's happening.

Have checked out a few places, and would like to put forward La Vida @ Cucador for our meal.
We looked at El Castillo, which was quite pricey, and Meson Irene perhaps a bit out of the way for some.

So, rightly or wrongly, have 'plumped' for the more central and reasonably priced La Vida.
There are a few slots available, but the date that's most suitable at the moment is Wednesday 19th December.

I would hope to make the booking for 8pm ish on that date. There is a menu del noche for approx €12 excl drinks, and further choices are available from their a la carte menu.

I therefore need to know, as soon as possible, numbers (including partners) that can attend for that date.

Once I have a feel for the approx numbers, I can place a preliminary booking with a bit of leeway.

I have now booked our meal for La Vida, Cucador.

The date has changed to Thursday 20th (previously mentioned as 19th) December @ 8pm.

Provisionally booked for 12, but can be amended to suit.

I hope the slight date change is OK with everyone coming.
