Folks,
A few people had found the banner ads under the forum logo confusing and annoying. Unfortunately they are part and parcel of getting a free forum. However today, I have disabled this feature for members only, for 6 months, by making a small payment of €4, which I thought was OK. I'll take the hit this time, someone else can pay in March!

As I raised this as an issue.
