Photo exposure information script...

Post  Sheilsoft on Sun Nov 20, 2011 1:01 pm

Folks,

I've just written a little Paintshop Pro X4 script for the club, which should automatically resize your image (800 pixels on longest side), extract the 'EXIF' information from the image file and add it as a panel to the bottom of the photo. It also adds a thin border line and slightly sharpens the image after resizing. You would only then need to upload the completed image to the forum as detailed elsewhere in the forum.

See example below...

This should work on RAW files and Tif & Jpg files direct from the camera, imported into Paintshop Pro, as long as the EXIF information hasn't been removed first. I have tried it on my Nikon, but not on other makes/models. Please try it out and let me know if it works with your camera or any errors reported. If it doesn't find any EXIF info the panel will be left blank.

Download the script here...

Unzip script file to My Documents/Corel Paintshop Pro/14.0/Scripts-Restricted folder

Howard Very Happy

Hi Howard
Nice script and will save a lot of time. My only problem is the text is too large and only showing a small amount of information.

Val,

Can you please email me an example.

When you say a small amount of information... Are you not getting the 4 data items (iso, shutter, aperture, length)? What make of camera do you have? Oops, silly me... Should have read your signature info. Rolling Eyes

Hi.

I have generally been using Adobe Photoshop Elements.
I have a copy of PaintShop Pro x3, will this use your scripts or do I need to upgrade.

Kevin,

It's OK, my scripts work with Corel Paintshop Pro versions X, X2, X3 & X4.
